Isaiah 51:4-8; Nehemiah 1:4-11; John 5:43-47 This is the final message on Old Testament ethics. We have observed how Israel broke GOD’s Law time and again despite His long suffering. We heard the warning that GOD was about to finally cast Israel out of the land (Deuteronomy 28:36-37), because of their sins. In today’s message, we will add another component to Israel’s fall—the prophets, and then we will trace their “second chance” up until the time of Jesus. We shall see again the progression of Biblical ethics and discuss the need for a new ethical standard.
